RailLog Korea to open with the latest rolling stock on display

9 Jun 2021

The 10th edition of RailLog Korea is ready to depart this week, welcoming around 90 exhibitors from 16 to 19 June 2021 at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Centre – BEXCO, Busan. The fair is well known not just as a place to find the latest railway technology, infrastructure and logistics solutions, but also as a destination to explore the latest rolling stock. The 2021 edition will showcase three train vehicles and one electric bus to illuminate the latest developments in the railway and logistics industry. In addition, The Korean Society For Railway will hold their 2021 Spring Conference during the fair to get participants up to speed on the most important issues facing the industry.

Seeking to build new relationships with buyers at the fairground, many new and returning exhibitors are preparing to showcase their advancements. These include renowned suppliers such as CSINTech, DAEWON KANG UP, DAEYANG ELECTRIC, Eastern R&E, HALDER ROEMHELD KOREA, HARTING, Hyundai Rotem Company, KATEM, KUMSAN M&E, LG DISPLAY, Protech, Sampyo Railway, Schaltbau GmbH, SEAN, SR(Supreme Railways), TÜV Rheinland Korea, VCTECH, WOOJIN Industrial Systems, and YUJIN MACHINERY.

In addition, influential domestic railway organisations such as Korea National Railway, the Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI), The Korea Railway Association, and the Busan Transportation Corporation will participate at the show with their own dedicated booths.

Electric bus showcase to make debut alongside rolling stock

One of the unique features of RailLog Korea is its display of rolling stock at the fairground. A total of three railway vehicles will be showcased at this edition, while an electric bus will also be presented for the first time to demonstrate the latest trends from this growing segment of the logistics industry.

Hyundai Rotem, who have supplied various types of railway vehicles, including EMUs, high speed trains, trams, LRVs, DMUs, locomotives, passenger coaches and freight wagons, to 37 countries and regions across the world, will exhibit two models of their latest rolling stock at the fairground. Meanwhile, Woojin Industrial Systems, a specialist in railway systems, electric buses and renewable energy systems, will also present their newest rolling stock alongside a state-of-the-art electric bus.

Alongside these large-scale displays, a variety of parts and components, infrastructure, and services for the railway and logistics industry will be exhibited across the show floor.

Explore the latest industry topics via various fringe events

As always, RailLog Korea will feature numerous fringe events to provide participants with perspectives on the most pressing industry trends and topics. Experts from TÜV Rheinland Korea Ltd will present information about international certification for the global market, while other expert-led seminars will explore CBM technology for rolling stock and legal issues related to technology transfer.

Next to the fairground, The Korean Society For Railway will hold its 2021 Spring Conference. The conference is supported by RailLog Korea and will host roughly 700 experts to discuss the latest industrial topics and trends.

New online business matching service

Due to the travel restrictions caused by COVID-19, the organisers have launched a new online business meeting service to connect overseas buyers with exhibitors at the fairground. The online event will provide exhibitors with more opportunities for business and bring industry players from around the globe closer together.

RailLog Korea is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt Korea Ltd and BEXCO. The event is co-organised by The Korea Railway Association (KORASS) and the Korea Rolling Stock Industries Association (KORSIA), and hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) and the Korea National Railway (KR).
