About RailLog Korea

Busan – hub city of transportation and logistics in Northeast Asia

RailLog Korea presents great growth potential, thanks to the geographical benefits of Busan, as the very starting point and final destination of the Trans-Asian Railway (TAR) network. In addition, Busan is a hub city where all logistics functions, including railroad, port, air and highway are integrated. Busan boasts advanced logistics infrastructure equipped with New Port logistics complex connected to railroads, aiming to be the genuine hub of logistics in Northeast Asia.

South Korea’s central and local governments are promoting the construction/expansion of railways and subways, eco-friendly alternatives to road transportation, aiming for a Green Transportation Era. A total of 70 construction projects with 3,047km length of high-speed, conventional and inter-city railways are now underway, with an additional 1,081km construction projects planned. Also, railway/subway constructions are actively being initiated in major cities throughout the nation.

RailLog Korea is the latest and globally competitive venue for the railway business where the most advanced technologies from global players are presented, from parts and components to rolling stocks. The fair is positioning itself as the real marketplace for business and gathering in the railways as well as logistics industries.

RailLog Korea is the world’s fourth largest railway show with exhibition space of 17,000sqm gross, following InnoTrans in Germany, Modern Railways in China and Railtex in the United Kingdom. In addition, RailLog Korea is the nation’s only and one of Asia’s predominant rail events, held in parallel with logistics sector. You will have a glimpse at the future of Asia’s railways and logistics industries alike, in Busan.

RailLog Korea is the world’s only exhibition officially sponsored by UN ESCAP – the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, an affiliated organisation of the UN. In addition, the fair obtained an event certification in 2007 from UFI – the world’s most influential international exhibition certification body sponsored by 771 members from 86 countries.

With a show concept of railways as an eco-friendly transportation vehicle, RailLog Korea also focuses on eco-friendly show management as well, offering no pytex carpet for the entire exhibition hall since 2009, and energy-saving heating & cooling control throughout the exhibition.

RailLog Korea 2019 sees further growth potentials, animated by present reconciliation atmosphere in the Korean Peninsula. As the plan of the ‘Iron Silk Road’ of TAR networks is the fair’s long-term and fundamental business background, and with the government expressing its commitment to the inter-Korean railway connection, the next editions of RailLog Korea are expected to be held on a larger scale, as Korea’s only and Asia’s predominant event dedicated to the latest advancements in the railway industry.
